In our sessions, we focus on your relationship and the quality of the space between you.

There is no fixed rule for how many sessions you'll need. It largely depends on:
How often do you and your partner use the Imago Dialogue between sessions?
How quickly you and your partner integrate the Imago Dialogue processes to use them safely and confidently at home.
Our brains are naturally wired for survival, often favouring negativity and reactive behaviours to keep us safe. These ingrained patterns, or "survival knots," take time to unravel.
That's why Imago Dialogue is designed for daily practice—to create sustainable change and transform the way you communicate.
With a committed, focused effort, I believe you can shift survival habits and improve communication within an intense three-month period of daily practice.
My goal is to teach you the foundations of safe communication, equipping you to manage conflicts and reconnect effectively without constant reliance on therapy.
Instead, therapy becomes a tool you use occasionally—when you're stuck or facing particularly challenging situations.
I recommend my Advanced Masterclass, which includes:
Twelve 90-minute sessions tailored to provide a solid understanding of Imago Dialogue and Polyvagal Practice.
This three-month period will give you the time and space to integrate new principles into your daily life, building the confidence to navigate any situation with ease.
By the end of this programme, you’ll be fully empowered to apply these skills consistently, transforming therapy into a supportive resource you can turn to when needed, rather than a regular necessity.
Imago therapy stands out in several key ways:
Imago Dialogue Focus: Every conversation happens through the Imago Dialogue, ensuring structured and meaningful communication.
Therapist as Coach: Instead of a traditional therapist role, I act as a coach, teaching you and your partner the dialogue processes and guiding you through them.
Face-to-Face Interaction: Unlike most therapies, you'll face each other (not the therapist) during dialogues, promoting direct connection and understanding.
Portable Skills: The Imago Dialogue is portable—you'll take these skills home, ready to use in everyday situations!
Conflict as Growth: Conflict is viewed as an opportunity for growth, not just a problem to solve.
The Imago Dialogue is the core technique of Imago therapy. It's the foundation for all conversations between you and your partner.
This structured process consists of two roles: 'Sending' and 'Receiving,' and it involves three clear steps: 'Mirroring,' 'Validating,' and 'Empathizing.'
It's important to understand that the Imago Dialogue is very different from a discussion or debate. Here's why:
Mindful Communication: It slows communication to ensure that you and your partner are fully present, can listen, and feel heard.
Structured Process: The dialogue follows a specific structure, ensuring a safe and productive conversation.
Safe Environment: It establishes an environment where all matters can be discussed effectively.
Curiosity and Care: It replaces reactivity and defensiveness with curiosity and loving care.
Positive Language: It eliminates all negative and critical verbal and non-verbal language.
Growth and Change: It promotes positive growth and lasting change in your relationship.
During the dialogue, you and your partner will sit face-to-face, with me sitting to one side, guiding the process.
During Couples Therapy, you may discover:
Practical tools for becoming a better communicator, which fosters connection and intimacy.
How to dissolve conflicts and resentments.
How to eliminate negativity and barriers that hinder well-being.
The real joy, passion, and aliveness that reside within you.
Deeper truths about the blocks you carry from early childhood.
How you can be a safe and supportive partner, giving and receiving appreciation and respect.
How to create a nurturing, supportive, and loving space for growth and healing.
Life happens, and sometimes you need to change your plans.

Yes, studies show that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy, especially when using evidence-based approaches like Imago and Polyvagal Theory.
It is because the therapy process focuses on the partners and the space between using Imago Dialogue, during which partners experience connection and the possibility for healing and expansion.
