Getting Ready for Your First Virtual Therapy Session.

Test Your Technology

  • Ensure your laptop or smartphone's camera and microphone are working well and that you have a strong internet connection.
  • I conduct our sessions using Zoom, a secure and user-friendly platform. It is free to use, and you can download it onto your device using the link below.
  • Download Zoom and test it in advance
  • Please use an external microphone that can be plugged into your device. An Amazon online shop has plenty of options. 
  • Your laptop/smartphone will need to be set up between you so I can see both of you clearly and you can see and hear me.

Create a Comfortable Space

  • You both must be in the same location in a quiet, private room where you won't be interrupted. 
  • You will have to make sure you are not overheard by someone in the next room or interrupted by your children or pets.
  • You would need two upright and comfortable dining-type chairs set up facing each other.

Time Zone

  • You should also consider time zones. I'm based in the UK, GMT+1 time zone, and work only during the day, so you should check that we can work together.
